Last year I lost a lot of weight by doing this:

Eating a bowl of oatmeal / porridge in the morning for breakfast, made with water NOT milk

then didn’t eat until lunch, when I’d have soup that I’d made myself so i knew it was low-calorie. Or another bowl of oatmeal if that’s easier.

Then if you live with parents just eat what they have for dinner/what you normally have, but don’t go back for seconds.

If you need to snack, eat celery or drink a glass or two of water.

And if you ever feel tempted to eat something bad, just remember why you’re dieting. E.g. Maybe someone you want to impress with your new weight loss

The best thing you can do is not look at it as a quick and easy task. It is totally about lifestyle changes. Cut out all the things you know are bad. Try to embrace the idea of eating natural foods, things that aren’t processed. Plenty of fruits and veggies, lean meat, no soda, no junk. And try to work in a brisk walk a few times a week…but if you can’t, don’t sweat it. I assure you, if you change your eating habits and remember, everything in moderation, you will see great sucess by the end of this year. And since you lost it slowly, it is more likely to be permanent.
